Metamodel Repository

Metamodels are a fundamental tool for architects. They allow the conceptual structuring of work domains by connecting models at different levels of abstraction and linking domains with each other.

This section contains a compilation of metamodels from the main architecture work domains.

MM-1 Company Model

It enables the structuring of how the company and/or business operates and creates value through the relationship of 8 submodels that formally describe each of the company’s components.

MM-4 Strategic Model

Explains how to structure a strategy for the company, with achievement indicators for the desired target state, strategic actions, and a measurement and governance model. It is composed of viewpoints that specify a motivational aspect, a value proposition, objectives, and execution.

MM-7 Process Model

Explains how the company’s processes or procedures are detailed, classified, and related in order to implement business capabilities.

MM-2 Business Model

Explains how value is produced, transformed, and flows to a customer to ultimately be monetized. It consists of the service portfolio, business structure, ontological model, customer journeys, and high-level business scenarios, all of which are grouped by viewpoint in each case.

MM-5 Capability Model

Explains how business capabilities or skills are defined, classified, and hierarchically related in order to carry out its purpose.

MM-8 Resource Model

Explains how the resources used by the business—whether physical, digital, owned, or leased—are structured to implement business activities or capabilities.

MM-3 Financial Model

Explains how to interpret budget or execution plan indicators for a company and its executed financial statements, which in each case are made up of income and expenses, the balance sheet, and cash flow, all grouped by viewpoint.

MM-6 Modelo organizacional

Explains how the company’s internal or organizational structure is composed—including units, positions, roles, and functions—to implement business capabilities.

MM-9 Indicator Model

Explains how the company’s internal and external indicators are detailed and related at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels for monitoring purposes.
